Edna, Shlomo & The Pres!!

Q: What could they all possibly have in common?

A: Liz has gotten up close and personal with each of them this week.

•  Soul Doctor started previews this week at New York Theater Workshop with Seth as music director and Joey playing Young Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach.  Here's the link for discount tix: Theatermania.com

•  Liz is set to debut her new effort written to Millay's seminal poem "Renascance" this Sunday at an event celebrating the 100th anniversary of the reading of this same poem on the actual site in Camden Me. It's an epic folk/rock opera clocking in at about 20 minutes and has been a daunting undertaking.

•  This past Monday in Manhattan at a $40,000 per person fund raiser for the Obama campaign, Liz, Claudia Mussen and Brady Rymer, tucked away in the corner of a greeeting room, strummed and sang Brady's greatest hits. The culmination of the event (for us) was a handshake and band photo with The Pres himself.  It was truly a thrill. His charisma and smile are overwhelming and I believe, had Odetta lived long enough to meet him, the two of them in one room would have caused a seismic reaction. Can't wait to see and share the photo.
