OMG - We're gonna Blog!

We've decided to jump on the cyber train, so - Welcome to our blog!

Seth, Liz and Joey will take turns posting on music, sports, cooking, gardening and more music.  You can subscribe and follow our posts by clicking the RSS feed link on the bottom of this page and add to your reader of choice  (to our moms: we'll talk you through)

We have a bunch of cool gigs lined up this summer including The Newport Folk Festival!  But first a little catch up.

Much of our spring was focused on Joey events, including his school production of "Seussical" in which he played Jojo, and for which Seth played piano, devoting many rehearsal hours.

Our Joey season culminated with a trip to The University of Maryland where his documentary "The Story of Sacco & Vanzetti" reached the Nationals (!) in the National History Day competition.
Students and families travelled from all 50 states plus Puerto Rico, Guam (natch), and Shanghai (?).
It was an amazing scene, with kids (okay, young scholars) racing around, trading state buttons with each other. "Who's got Arkansas? I need Arkansas!!" The states with smaller delegations became the most sought after buttons, of course. Joey and his 2 Hunter schoolmates (Charlotte M. & Charlotte E.) excitedly approached a dark-skinned boy of unknown origin. "Hi! Where are you from?" (the standard greeting). ("This could be it - Guam!!") "New Jersey! How 'bout you?"

6th grade ends in a few days - lots of ceremonies, parties, yearbooks etc...
We can now officially attest that time does in fact, fly.

Oh yeah - Seth and Liz are busy too:

THE EDNA PROJECT soldiers on.  THANKS SO MUCH to all for a SOLD OUT show at Joe's Pub. We hope to be back there in the fall.  Thanks as well to our newer friends and fans in Maine where we had the thrill of performing a few gigs in Edna's home state including her hometown.  For those of you who participated in our audience survey regarding the projection of lyrics - as would be expected the responses ran the gamut from one extreme to another. However the majority ruled in favor of adding lyric projections to a couple more songs.

Other efforts:
Liz continues to try to get some action going with "Hallelujah (Sing For The Hope)."
The music video is finally completed and with it we hope to launch a major fund drive for Alzheimer's.  You'll hear about it as soon as it happens.

Seth continues to spend much time subbing at "Catch Me If You Can" on Broadway, sometimes in a white dinner jacket onstage, sometimes in shorts and a t-shirt up on the 5th floor in a small room with another keyboard player/guitarist.
